Organizational moments and information on obtaining a visa to Uzbekistan

VISA OF THE REPUBLIC OF UZBEKISTAN

In accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Uzbekistan, foreign citizens and stateless persons can enter Uzbekistan and transit through its territory only if they have entry visas.

Visas to foreign citizens and stateless persons are issued at diplomatic missions and consular offices of the Republic of Uzbekistan abroad on the basis of visa support (confirmation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan).

Visa support is issued on the basis of the application of inviting legal entities and individuals permanently or temporarily located on the territory of Uzbekistan, submitted to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as free economic zone Urgut

– Visa application on the letterhead of the organization of the established sample;

— Electronic questionnaire from the site evisa.mfa.uz;

— Copies of passports of the invited person, the head of the organization and the authorized person of the organization, for submission of documents;

– Copies of documents for the organization (license, certificate, certificates, etc.);

— Copies of orders for the head and authorized person;

— A copy of the organization's power of attorney for the authorized person;

– When applying for a visa on arrival at the Tashkent airport, you must also provide copies of air tickets or reservations;

- Certificate from the place of work of the invited person.

– Visa application of the established form;

— Copies of passports of the invited and inviting person;

– Original notice of invitation issued by the internal affairs bodies of the Republic of Uzbekistan;

— Copies of documents confirming family ties (if any);

– When applying for a visa on arrival at the Tashkent airport, you must also provide copies of air tickets or reservations;

The term for consideration of applications of legal entities and individuals at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is 10 working days, subject to the established procedure for submitting documents.

  • passport or document of a stateless person, the validity of which must exceed the validity of the visa by at least 3 months;
  • completed visa application form in 2 copies;
  • 2 color passport size photographs.

To obtain a transit visa, foreign citizens and stateless persons, in addition to the above documents, must also have a visa of the state of destination and travel documents with a confirmed date of departure from Uzbekistan to the country of destination. The term for consideration of visa documents in this case is 3 days.

Foreign citizens and stateless persons who intend to arrive in Uzbekistan from a country where there is no diplomatic mission or consular office of Uzbekistan can obtain visas on arrival at the visa section of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan at Tashkent International Airport. To do this, the inviting legal entity or individual located on the territory of Uzbekistan must apply in advance in the prescribed manner to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, obtain the appropriate confirmation (stamp) of the visa support department of the Consular Department and send it to the invited person. This confirmation is presented by the invited person when purchasing an air ticket, passing through passport control in the host country, and on its basis a visa is issued to him upon arrival at the visa support sector of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan at the international airport "Tashkent".

  • a) For single entry visas:
    • up to 7 days - $40;
    • up to 15 days - $50;
    • up to 30 days - $60;
    • up to 3 months - 80 USD;
    • up to 6 months - 120 USD;
    • up to 1 year - 160 US dollars.

    Note: for each additional entry of the visa, the fare rate increases by 10 US dollars.

    b) For multiple entry visas:

    • up to 6 months - 150 USD;
    • up to 1 year - 250 US dollars.

    c) For transit visas:

    • up to 72 hours - $40;
    • for a double-entry transit visa - 50 US dollars.

    d) For group visas (there must be at least 5 people in the group, excluding children under 16):

    • up to 15 days - 15 USD per person;
    • up to 20 days - 25 USD per person;

    When issuing visas, fees are also charged to reimburse the actual costs associated with issuing visas. The amount of such fees depends on the place where visas are issued (regardless of the nationality of the applicant).

    Note: For citizens of states with which there are relevant bilateral agreements and agreements, a different procedure for issuing entry visas to the Republic of Uzbekistan may be provided.

1. A bilateral visa-free regime has been established with Kyrgyzstan (up to 60 days), Tajikistan (up to 30 days), Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Russia and Ukraine.

2. A visa-free regime has been introduced for a period of 30 days for citizens of the following countries: the Commonwealth of Australia, the Republic of Austria, the Argentine Republic, Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Vatican, the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, Hungary, the State of Brunei Darussalam, the State of Israel, the Hellenic Republic, Indonesia, Ireland, Iceland, Republic of Italy, Canada, Principality of Andorra, Principality of Liechtenstein, Principality of Monaco, Kingdom of Belgium, Kingdom of Denmark, Kingdom of Spain, Kingdom of the Netherlands, Kingdom of Norway, Kingdom of Sweden, Republic of Latvia, Republic of Lithuania, Malaysia, Mongolia, New Zealand, Portuguese Republic, Republic of Bulgaria , Republic of Cyprus, Republic of Korea, Republic of Malta, United Arab Emirates, Republic of Poland, Republic of San Marino, Republic of Serbia, Republic of Slovenia, Republic of Croatia, Republic of Chile, Romania, Singapore, Slovak Republic, United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Republic of Turkey , Federal Republic of Brazil, Federal Republic of Germany, Republic of Finland, French Republic, Montenegro, Czech Republic, Swiss Confederation, Republic of Estonia, Japan.

The visa-free regime applies to citizens of these countries, holders of all categories of passports (diplomatic, official and civil), planning to visit the Republic of Uzbekistan for up to 30 days, regardless of the purpose of their trip. To enter the country, a person must have a valid national passport or other substitute document used when traveling to foreign countries.

The visa-free regime does not apply to stateless persons permanently residing in the territories of these countries.

The visa-free regime is valid for 30 days from the date of entry into Uzbekistan. Before the end of the 30-day period of visa-free stay, a foreign citizen must leave the Republic of Uzbekistan. Exceeding the 30-day visa-free period of stay is a violation of the rules for the stay of foreign citizens in the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Accordingly, if it is necessary to stay in Uzbekistan for more than 30 days, a foreign citizen must obtain, in the prescribed manner, an entry visa to the Republic of Uzbekistan corresponding to the purpose of his trip.

3. Visa-free entry to the Republic of Uzbekistan of foreign citizens under the age of 16, accompanied by legal representatives and having a biometric travel document, has been established for the duration of the visa of the accompanying person, but not more than ninety days from the date of entry into the country.

4. The visa regime is canceled from January 1, 2021: for citizens of China (as part of tourist groups), the United States and Vietnam who have reached the age of 55 and enter the Republic of Uzbekistan for tourism purposes for a period not exceeding 30 days.

5. With Hungary, China, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan (up to 30 days), Vietnam, India and the Republic of Korea (up to 60 days), Brazil, Latvia, Poland, Romania, Singapore, Slovakia, Estonia, Kuwait and Turkey (up to 90 days) a visa-free regime for holders of diplomatic passports. Citizens of these countries (except India), who hold diplomatic passports and are accredited as employees of diplomatic missions or consular offices of their countries located on the territory of Uzbekistan, as well as members of their families, have the right to enter and stay without visas for the entire period of work.

6. Implemented a system for issuing electronic entry visas (e-visa.gov.uz) for foreign citizens and approved a list of countries whose citizens have the opportunity to obtain electronic entry visas to the Republic of Uzbekistan (Appendix 1);

From March 15, 2019, a system for issuing the following types of electronic entry visas with a validity period of 30 days is introduced: - double entry, with a consular fee of 35 US dollars; — multiple, with a consular fee of 50 US dollars.

7. A short-term visa-free entry to the Republic of Uzbekistan for a period of not more than five days has been established for citizens of a number of states (Annex 2) transiting through the international airports of the Republic of Uzbekistan, if they have an Uzbekistan Airways air ticket to a third country. This procedure applies to transit air passengers who wish to see the sights of Uzbekistan.

8. Uzbekistan and Japan issue visas on a reciprocal basis without charging consular fees.
